Good morning,
This past weekend I was at a community pool. As I was leaving I noticed a dog locked in the car next to me. I was trying to figure out how to get her some water when some teens and a man came over to tell me they had seen her in the car for hours. We were all trying to figure out what to do when her owner came out. He ended up telling us that she is pregnant and he lives in his car. I asked if I could take her and find her a home and he gratefully agreed, because he often left her locked in a hot car in the summer heat.
However, as a single mom myself, I can’t take on another dog, let alone a bunch of puppies. I have been reaching out to rescues to try and find someone to help and have been turned away from all of them. I don’t want to take her to the pound, because I don’t know what they would even do with a pregnant gal.
Someone suggested your rescue so I am reaching out to see if you’re able to help at all.
