I hereby agree to accept a position as a Volunteer for Rockwall Adoption Center (RAC). As described by the State of Texas, my position as a Volunteer is performed willingly and without pay. I release all liability to RAC for any actions performed hence forth, and therefore willingly and knowingly take responsibility for my actions as a Volunteer for RAC.(Required)

To provide my services as a Volunteer for RAC without any expressed or implied promise of salary, compensation or payment of any kind.

Consent(Required)

To comply with the ethical and humane treatment of all animals in my care while serving as a volunteer for RAC.(Required)

Read and understand, to the best of my knowledge, the policies and procedures of RAC and will comply with the standards set forth by the group.(Required)

RAC takes in battered, abused, neglected animals of which the temperaments and overall demeanor is unknown. I will not hold RAC accountable for any injuries I receive while handling animals during the course of my volunteer duties.(Required)

I understand and agree to assume risk while performing any and all activities associated with RAC.(Required)

My position as a volunteer will not result in any employment based benefits--which include but are not limited to: workman’s compensation, insurance, stock options, vacation or sick time.(Required)

To not hold RAC accountable for any damage to my property while serving as a volunteer.(Required)

Failure to comply with any or all of the obligations as outlined in the Volunteer Agreement, or for any reason whatsoever, while performing my duties as a Volunteer with RAC, it is RAC’s sole discretion to immediately terminate my services.(Required)

Volunteer Dress Code(Required)

Allowed: Closed toed shoes, pants/jeans, volunteer T-shirt or loose fitting top.

Not Allowed: Torn jeans, open toed shoes, sandals, thin tank tops, mid-drifts, low cut or mini skirts. Shorts must be of proper school dress-code policy, rising no more than 4” above the knee. Please understand that this is for your safety when working around animals.
