TNR Submission - Rockwall Animal Adoptions

The Rockwall Adoption Center Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) program is available for residents of the City of Rockwall, City of Heath and unincorporated parts of Rockwall County. The spay or neuter surgery is $30, with a $10 charge for a rabies vaccine which is required at the time of surgery. If you are uncertain of your jurisdiction, please call the shelter at 972-771-7750 ext. 2 to verify. The shelter will require a copy of your drivers license at the time of drop off. If you schedule an appointment and do not live in the proper jurisdiction, your total paid will be refunded.

Kittens must weigh at least 2 lbs for surgery and must be at least 12 weeks of age for a rabies vaccine. If a kitten is deemed too young or unhealthy for surgery at the time, we will contact you to reschedule.

Pick Up/Drop-Off Instructions

Drop-off:
You can drop the cat(s) off between 10 am and 5 pm Tuesday immediately before surgery, or between 8 am and 9:30 am the Wednesday morning of surgery. Your cat(s) will need to be in a live trap or a carrier, and only one cat per container is allowed.

Pick-Up: You can pick your cat(s) up between 3 pm and 6 pm the Wednesday of surgery. No medications will need to be administered after surgery. If possible, we recommend holding the cat indoors (such as a garage) for one night before re-releasing the cat outside.

Cats not picked up the same evening as surgery will be charged an additional $25 unless prior arrangements with RAC have been made. If no contact is made with RAC through 1:00pm the Thursday immediately following surgery, the cat(s) will be released outside at RAC's discretion and no refund will be issued.
