The Rockwall Adoption Center is the only animal shelter in the City of Rockwall, and services the Cities of Rockwall and Heath, as well as unincorporated areas of Rockwall County.

The Rockwall Adoption Center has an owner surrender fee of $40.00 per animal, and while we strive for a 90% or greater live outcome, an adoption can never be guaranteed. Not every animal that enters the shelter will be deemed adoptable, and the 90% live-outcome rate is based on space at the shelter, and the health and temperament of an animal. We strongly suggest reaching out to rescue groups before surrendering to a shelter, and both a cat and dog rescue list is below for you to ulitize.
